At the beginning of the year, IRFF Norway in cooperation with WFWP Norway visited two orphanages in Estonia to deliver a little Christmas cheer. The first lay 100 km to the west and the second was about 90 km south of that. Most of the children came from broken homes, some had lost their parents. Their ages ranged from 1-20 years old. They could live there as long as they went to school. Many children there also siblings from the same family. The first orphanage was made up of four apartments, three of which were combined into one unit. The second orphanage was more modern and was made up of six houses where each “family” lived. There, we were able to visit the youngest children but were not allowed to take pictures.
