Motherhood
WFWP Norway celebrated the UN International Women's Day on Saturday, March 5th, 2016. Our theme this year was “Motherhood.” Three women gave their personal experiences and impressions on the meaning and role of mothers. Yun-A Johnson, a young mother, shared her experience on becoming and being a mother in the modern world and all the expectations and questions that come with it. The next speaker, Jane Toresen, followed the experience of motherhood throughout the generations in her family, starting with her grandmother and ending with the experience of witnessing the birth of her first grandchild. Finally, Roswitha Johansen shared a moving story that displayed the endless love in a mother’s heart. The program also included entertainment provided by the beautiful voices of Julia Nordhagen and Lisa Osborn as well as a full dinner for all the guests.
